Back Pain

Are you grappling with persistent back pain? In today’s fast-paced world, the prevalence of back pain has surged, often attributed to extended hours of sitting during lockdowns and remote work. This sedentary lifestyle can lead to various types of back pain, affecting both the lower and upper back.

One common form of back pain is Sciatica, known as Gridhrasi in Ayurveda. Sciatica occurs when the sciatic nerve, which runs from the lower back through the hips and buttocks down to the leg, is compressed. This condition typically manifests on one side of the body.

Another prevalent issue is lower and upper back pain caused by the associated joints of the lumbar vertebrae. This can result from degeneration or inflammation in the joints, contributing to discomfort and reduced mobility.

At Ayulife, we understand the challenges posed by back pain, and our Ayurvedic experts have successfully treated numerous patients using traditional Panchkarma Procedures such as Basti and Potli massages. These therapies aim to alleviate pain, improve flexibility, and restore overall well-being.

Take a proactive step towards a pain-free life. Explore the holistic approach of Ayurveda at Ayulife and let us guide you on the path to a healthier, more comfortable back.

Sciatica

Sciatica, referred to as Gridhrasi in Ayurveda, is a condition characterized by pain along the path of the sciatic nerve, primarily caused by a disk prolapse in the L4-L5 discs. This compression of the nerve can result in discomfort that initiates in the lower back, travels through the hips and buttocks, and extends down the leg.

Sciatica typically affects one side of the body, leading to not only localized pain but also potential sensations of numbness, tingling, or weakness along the nerve pathway. The impact of sciatica on daily activities and overall well-being emphasizes the importance of understanding and addressing its root cause.

In Ayurveda, we recognize the significance of holistic approaches for effective management. Our Panchkarma Procedures, including Basti and Potli massages, are designed to target the underlying factors contributing to sciatic pain. By seamlessly combining traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with modern insights, Ayulife provides comprehensive solutions to alleviate sciatica and promote lasting relief.

Ayurveda Treatment to Sciatica in Ayulife:

As per Ayurveda, Sciatica is caused due to Vata dosha. Normally Vata aggravates due to wrong food habits or if our bowel is not cleaned properly due to chronic constipation etc. When Vata increases excessively, the muscle stiffness develops. This puts pressure on the Vertebrates and causes slip disk. This prolapsed disk presses the sciatica nerve.

At Ayulife we focus to balance Vata dosha by Panchkarma Therapies like Kashya Basti and Sneha Basti.

Once the Vata dosha is controlled in Ayurveda Panchkarma Procedures, we strengthen the affected portion with

Shodhan Chikitsa : Snehan, Swedan. Even some times Potli Massage and Kati Basti is provided on the affected portion.

Shaman Chikitsa : Herbal Medication to strengthen the affected portion.
